A Conversation with Kuraray!

At a recent dental symposium, Olivia Wann and Eva Loring had the pleasure of meeting with Marcus Simmons of Kuraray. They had a great conversation about some exciting dental products that are currently on the market at Kuraray, and so we at Modern Practice Solutions thought we would share!

Marcus gave us some information about Universal Bond Quick 2. Universal Bond Quick 2 is an one step bonding agent, all etch techniques. It boasts only a 3-second application, and it also has a low film thickness- 200 drops per 5 Ml bottle.

It uses Advanced Rapid Bond Technology, combining three core monomers:

1. Original MDP Monomer, which provides strong chemical bonding to hydroxyapatite and indirect materials like zirconia;

2. Amide Monomer: High hydrophilicity allows instant penetration into tooth structure without requiring a waiting or scrubbing period; and 

3. Urethane Tetramethacrylate (UTM) Monomer: A multifunctional agent that strengthens the cured bonding layer and resists polymerization shrinkage forces while maintaining a thin film thickness.

As far as waiting time, Universal Bond Quick 2 essentially eliminates application wait times and rubbing steps, reducing sensitivity to moisture control challenges. Universal Bond Quick 2 also boasts a 100% 5-star customer reviews at the Kuraray website.
